Umberto begins a new chapter
With the omnibus edition complete, with all 26 stories now printed. Something new.

In December of 2022 I was in touch with a colleague who has a history in children's book publishing.
David Schutte has been associated with both selling, collecting, writing and publishing books for children.
Macmillan have published 9 of his stories from 1996 to 2005. Aimed at young teenagers, his books are superby-written and are totally original in content. Featuring 5 teenage children and their adventures in their own neighbourhood.
He has published the radio plays scripts of Richmal Crompton's 'Just William', together with 10 volumes of radio plays by Anthony Buckeridge about 'Jennings'.
All of these plus the radio series scripts of Malcolm Saville's books.
His last publication is of the unpublished short stories by Richmal Crompton.

Imagine then how excited I have been since he suggested we should collaborate on writing/illustrating the teddy/bear stories. This time as stand-alone stories and not as a sequence of linked books.
To date "Umberto" is complete with a brand new story, brand new illustrations and is being sent to publishers.
The re-told story of Harry and Hiccup playing Hide and Seek is also now complete if a publisher likes the ideas.

FINGERS CROSSED.

The story introduces us to three NEW
teddy-bear characters.
Tommy Turnip, Ursa Minor and Ursa Major.

Follow Hiccup, Umberto and friends on Facebook.
With books in limbo,
it fell to Dreyfus to
encourage me to join him in his
dream state!

Not forgetting Hiccup playing his
usual central role.
That bear eh?
